Do you want to experience the real world of African wildlife conservation, see animal habits never seen before and research projects behind the scenes, relax in pristine wilderness, and at the same time have fun doing so? Catchco Student Experiences will enable you to do all this, by exposing you to a once in a lifetime experience designed by leading wildlife veterinarian Dr Douw Grobler and JJ van Altena and managed by Stefran Broekman. Come and join in the day tasks of the Catchco Wildlife team.

Your mission will be different every day, as the main idea and focus of this conservation experience is to make you as the guest join in the day tasks of the Catchco team with an intimate knowledge of a specific animal’s behavioural make-up as well as certain important management factors. These close-up experiences will also offer ideal situations for photographic enthusiasts, and different animals will be handled over different periods, exposing you to the diverse fauna of Southern Africa.

As the bush of Africa is vibrant and alive with surprises, you never know what to expect around the next corner, as surprises are "normal" in the wild! Interpretations and identifications will be given all the time and all the aspects will be covered!

This will obviously be done on a day to day basis as we drive and walk around doing real conservation tasks with Douw, JJ and Stefran, from as small as a shrub hare to Loxodonta africana….the classroom will be the bush, and general habits and interesting facts will be discussed. You will be able to keep a detailed list of all your sightings and compare and learn as we go along….

We hope that there won’t be such a thing as a "typical day", as we really don’t want one day to be similar to another, but what we are aiming for is unique experiences at all times! Create the picture in front of you: as far as your eye can see when you leave the camp will be Africa, from horizon to horizon….as you set out in any direction to complete your day’s mission!
